Salary Banding:
£22, £29,556.80 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)


Hours:
Full Time / Perm / Mon-Fri/ 40 hours

Bright Horizons Teddies Day Nursery and Preschool


If you hold a full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification, and are an educator at heart, with a passion for inspiring and leading a team to deliver outstanding to teaching to the children within our care - our Room Leader opportunity would be perfect for you.


Our 76 setting offers well resourced, age specific rooms from Babies to Preschool, as well as an outdoor garden with a dedicated Baby Garden.


There are also good transport links, with parking available nearby and local bus routes being within a 5 minute walk.

The nursery offers a light and airy environment within our 2-storey building.

On the lower ground floor is our baby and toddler room for 3 months up to 18 months old, ground floor contains a pre-nursery for 18 months up to 3 years old and our first floor is the Montessori nursery for 3-5-year-olds.


What you'll be doing

  • Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
  • Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas
  • Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis

What we're looking for

  • Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting (ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar)
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
