Electrical Team Leader - M&E
It's an exciting time to be joining Network Rail High Speed. We are making the biggest fundamental change to our business in its history, as we look to modernise and deliver an even more sustainable and high performing high speed railway than we already have today
Who we are
Network Rail High Speed Ltd. (NRHS) is responsible for operating and maintaining the UK's only international high-speed railway, High Speed 1 (HS1).
The 109km HS1 infrastructure consists of a diverse range of railway assets such as the track, signalling, overhead line, lineside buildings, depots, viaducts and long tunnels.
As a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd, NRHS is privately financed under an agreement with our client 'HS1 Ltd', undertaking a diverse range of activities from railway infrastructure maintenance and operations - through to station facilities management and retail on behalf of our client.

About the role (External):
The role:
We are looking to recruit an
Electrical Team Leader (M&E), to direct, organise and motivate the team to ensure work is undertaken safely, efficiently and to the relevant standards.
The person:
- Hold either an NVQ Level 3 and City & Guilds, or an ONC/HNC
- Have several years of experience working in either maintenance or installation.
- Experience of organising and controlling the safe and efficient delivery of work
- Experience developing others
- Have a full driving licence, to drive vehicles as required by the business?
- Be willing to learn new skills and maintain a wide range of mechanical and electrical assets in addition, some more specialised equipment
- Have completed an approved apprenticeship in either Electrical engineering or Mechanical engineering
- Possess at least five years' post apprenticeship experience (or equivalent) with knowledge of some or all of the following:
ELECTRICAL:
- Uninterruptable power supplies
- Building services
- Pumps and fans
- HVAC systems
- Electrical distribution
- HV switching
MECHANICAL
- Fire hydrant/firefighting systems
- Pump stations and drainage
- Pumps and valves
The role will be based at Singlewell l, however frequent travel to our other office and site locations along the High Speed line is/may be expected.
