Hours:45 hours Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm or 8am - 6pm, plus one weekend per month

We are excited to be working with our wonderful client in their search for a new Chef de Partie to join their friendly team.
This is a vital role is assisting the Head Chef responsible for the day-to-day operation of the catering and bar facilities, ensuring full provision of good quality meals for staff and visitors.
The Role:
- Prepare, cook and serve meals to a high standard
- Preparation of various menus, promoting healthy eating and supporting local rural business by using local seasonal produce
- Make sure everyone using the catering facilities is treated politely and courteously
- Ensure kitchen and washup areas are kept in a clean and hygienic condition. Keep up to date with food safety guidelines and legislation to ensure compliance
- Make sure cleaning schedules are followed
- Maintain cleaning and food temperature records
- Keep food wastage to a minimum by cooking only the appropriate number of meals and carrying out strict portion control
- Comply with food hygiene regulations by wearing appropriate clean protective clothing while preparing and serving
- Ensure all stock is stored appropriately and stock rotation procedures are followed
- Provide cover for functions requiring catering during holiday periods and at weekends and evenings
- Ensure meal eligibility procedures for students, staff and visitors are followed
- Assist in all areas of the Catering operations
- Where required provide temporary cover in a similar capacity to complete catering services at the Colleges Outlet centres, at Netherfield & Stanmer Park
The Person:
- City & Guilds 701 & 702 Qualification or equivalent, is essential
- Previous experience of two years in a similar position
- A creative ability and flair using fresh produce
- Current Food Hygiene Certificate is essential
- Excellent customer and communication service skills
- Be outgoing, with a flexible and approachable manner
