Do your bit by joining our Portfolio Management Risk Team as a Risk Co-ordinator.

Your role will be all about managing the risks efficiently and keeping the communication game strong. You will be managing the risks for the delivery of our program by being a risk management superstar. Plus, you'll be ensuring that the projects meet the delivery objectives and comes in on scope, time and cost.

DV1 (Delivery Vehicle 1)


A significant period of work aimed at enhancing water and wastewater services across Scotland is underway, boosted following the appointment of a network of companies to enhance the delivery of one of Scotland's biggest capital investment infrastructure programmes.


This will span the next six years with a six-year extension option thereafter - known as Delivery Vehicle 1 (DV1).

It will operate as a single entity to maximise collaboration, consistency, and integration to help meet net zero emissions targets, efficiency and supply chain support as well as deliver excellence in service for customers and communities.

What you'll do

This role requires high levels of risk management and communication.

Think developing, co-ordinating, and ensuring smooth delivery of the risk management portfolio of work according to Scottish Water's Capital Investment appraisal process.

Plus, you'll keep an eye on risk delivery to help us achieve business efficiencies and satisfy regulatory requirements.


You will be managing and maintaining the risk approaches across different levels, Capturing risk intelligence data produced within the business and communicating in order to capitalise on continuous improvement and development in the area of risk management, ensuring everything's compliant and reported on time and managing change within the programme portfolio.


Additionally, you will be managing internal and external stakeholders to achieve programme strategic objectives and programme outputs, with regards to risk, to improve levels of service in accordance with the Delivery Plan.

You also supporting the team leader in providing a key client interface with the Capital Investment Team.

Lastly, you will be managing risk and change within our program portfolio.

What you'll bring


We need someone with a strong understanding of risk management and strong MS Office skills (especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI) We are also looking for some experience in Capital Investment programme delivery and report development.


You will have strong communication skills and can adapt your style to fit any crowd - such crowds might be in Risk workshops with multi-disciplinary stakeholders, external stakeholders in the form of our delivery partners and senior management in capital investment and the wider business.

Plus, you've got some experience running risk workshops and can handle and interpret data like a pro, ensuring that the results are accurate and interpretable for the relevant audience.


And if you're all about collaborating, delivering top-notch results, taking the initiative, and improving yourself and the team, you're exactly who we're after.


Additionally, you also have good time management, report-writing skills, a desire to promote best practice and continual improvement and a UK driving license.

The not-so-small print

The salary range for this role is £35,384 - £47,924 depending on skills and experience.
