Bromley Healthcare is proud to be able to provide great training opportunities to its staff and has recently been awarded an enhanced training budget to be able to upskill the competencies of the podiatry team enhancing the service we can provide to our patients.

We are also proud to be able to offer mentorships for prescribers.

Although based in a clinical setting, the role is across the Bromley Healthcare area with a clinical and visiting caseload.

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants are able to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.

The post holder will be up to date with current best practice and demonstrate Bromley Healthcare values in their day to day role working as part of a team.

We value healthcare promotion through patient empowerment and education, therefore we require podiatrists who have excellent communication and assessment skills.

We encourage team members to take part in various CPD activities including clinical supervision, in-house training during department meetings in addition to external training sessions and access to an enhanced training budget.

Registration with the Health professions council is essential.

Bromley Healthcare is a community interest company providing a wide range of services including community nursing services such as district nursing, health visiting to specialist nurses, as well as therapy services for children, young people and adults.

Salary is dependant on NHS experience and current banding/pay point.

Bromley healthcare recognises the current challenges everyone is facing and took the decision to offer enhanced mileage to support its staff.

We have increased the mileage rate from 56p to 61p and have removed the 3,500 mileage reimbursement ceiling.

We also offer advance schemes, including an annual advance scheme to cover season tickets, travel expenses, and a salary advance via Wagestream to help provide further financial support to staff.

Bromley healthcare has recently redefined its values with a strong focus on the healthcare and well-being of both colleagues and patients.

We have our own staff physio and access to an in-house counselling service, to name just a few of the initiatives set out to support our well-being.

Our 'belonging' value focuses on building a community where inclusivity and diversity are celebrated and colleagues feel psychologically safe to bring their authentic selves to work.

Our aim is for everyone to be listened to and have an equal opportunity to flourish.

In line with our 'continuous learning' value, we are proud to embrace learning, quality improvement, and innovation in aspiring to be the best we can be.

As a service, we are very supportive of innovation and change and you will be afforded the flexibility to be creative.

You will be a communicative team player, with experience in wound care and management of the diabetic foot.

You will be able to manage a caseload, and although predominantly clinical care will be needed, you will be able to organise visits to those who are unable to attend community clinics.

You will be confident in treatment, and be aware of criteria for service. You will know your scope of practice, when to ask for help, and how to escalate concerns to MDFT.

You will be able to liaise with nursing staff to arrange visits, and form treatment plans for internal and external departments to follow.

You will support the service and colleagues in clinic, and when seeing patients at home.
