Vestas is a global supplier of wind energy. We design, manufacture, install and service wind turbines worldwide. The company has close to 22,000 employees and has installed wind turbines in more than 75 countries. The head office is located in Aarhus, Denmark.


The Service department with headquarters in Warrington is responsible for service and maintenance of all Vestas' wind farms in the UK and Ireland.

Responsibilities

  • Technical analysis and preparation of service orders for technicians and technical approval of service orders after completion
  • Define resources needed for service orders, e.g. competencies, materials and tools
  • Find technical documentation / work instructions for technicians
  • Daily communication with technicians, planners, technical and customer group
  • Continuous improvement, including creative search for areas for improvement, as well as strategic and longterm approach to planning future tasks

Qualifications

  • Experience with technical planning, ideally obtained in a technical / logistics related environment. Alternatively;
  • A Wind turbine technician
  • A newly qualified engineer (e.g., mechanical, production or high voltage)
  • Electrician in an established role with a focus on technical specifications, documentation and reporting
  • Good IT skills, SAP/Salesforce experience is welcome

Competencies

  • Understanding of new technology, and interest in diving into technical documentation
  • Good communication skills both oral and in writing
  • Ability to evaluate and identify trends
  • Structured and solutionoriented
  • Ability to think clearly in a timesensitive setting, as well as the ability to handle varying workloads and tasks
