The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sports team which involves the marketing, delivery and assessment of a range of courses across the Sports curriculum from Level 1 to 3 in Sport (Coaching and science) HNC/HND in Sport and Exercise Science.

You will also have some course leadership and internal verification responsibilities, as well as liaising with local/regional clubs as part of our professional sports offering.

Suitable applicants must possess a relevant Degree or equivalent qualification to at least Level 6, a Teaching Qualification to the required national standards, a Level 2 qualification in English, Mathematics and ITQ or a willingness to work towards the qualifications in a timely manner are essential requirements for this role as is previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an FE environment.

Main Duties for this role include:

To plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate college format to ensure effective learning.
To deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.
To assess accurately learners work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.
To use all appropriate resources effectively to ensure that the learners' experience results in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards.
To support learners progress through personal tutoring and parent/careers evenings to help learners achieve their full potential and progress appropriately.
