Our team pioneered hair testing 25 years ago and today offer a modern, fast and class-leading service. The Lab is UKAS Accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 and offers the UK's largest catalogue of accredited hair tests. The environment is quick paced and busy, with continuous investment in internal training and product development.The Role:
Required Skills:
- 1+ years commercial support experience.
- A good/technical degree.
- Possess a logical understanding of the support process utilising the industry standard methods and techniques such as ITIL.
- Team Player The ITSA must be able to work in a busy IT environment and function as part of a team as well as being able to use their own initiative to resolve tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a real believer in a right firsttime approach.
Desirable skills:
- Exposure to different development languages.
- Pharmaceutical sector experience.
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure.
- Knowledge of IT Security.
Personality attributes:
- Passionate about software development.
- Good communication skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.
- A pragmatic approach to problem solving with a focus on customer service.
Core responsibilities:
Administration of key IT systems in conjunction with Cansford MSP (Managed Service Provider):
- Microsoft Active Directory (Users, Groups, GPOs etc)
- Microsoft Exchange environment o Microsoft Teams
- Mobile Device Management Platform (iOS)
- Bespoke Work Management Systems
- Firewalls, web proxies and SPAM services
- On and offsite backups
Helpdesk support for the end user:
- Escalating queries to outsourced IT providers / management when required
Working Conditions:
In return we will offer an excellent rate of pay and 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.
There will be a probationary period of up to 6 months.
You will be expected to make yourself available for work between the hours of 9am - 5pm for a 35-hour week.
The role will be split between Head Office (based in Pentwyn) and some WFH, predominantly more office based to deal with end-users.
Cansford is currently trialling an optional flex-day holiday every three weeks, where the normal working day is extended slightly to fit 15 days into 14 allowing a flexi-day to be taken once every three weeks.
