This position is for Butterflies Childcare and Pre-School located in Streatham SW19 3SB

Butterflies Childcare provides a home from home environment, with friendly and supportive staff. They pride themselves on excellent childcare at an affordable price giving parents peace of mind whilst they get on with their busy lives.

They are easily accessible being located just a two minute walk from Wimbledon train, tube, bus and tram stations making it easier for busy parents to drop their children off whilst on their way to work.
All rooms are perfectly designed for each age group with the baby room being cosy, warm and secure.

The Toddler room has large open space for children to develop their early walking skills and a dedicated Messy Play area where the children can freely indulge in sensory activities.

Pre-schoolers have a lovely large open plan hall to explore and learn to their heart's content.

The outside play areas allow free flow from one room to the other so that we can mix both indoor and outdoor learning together.

Butterflies Childcare have a dedicated area for Phonics and Mathematics with an interactive whiteboard and a breakout room for individual focussed group learning.

Essential Requirements - GCSE Maths and English C or 4, or an equivalent (Functional Skills level 2)

The main responsibilities of this job role will include:


  • Working towards
    Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship.
  • Supporting the development of the childcare provision.
  • Providing an excellent range of activities that ensures that the child learns
    whilst having fun.
  • Being a team player.

Providing challenging and stimulating activities for all children:


  • Taking part in First Aid training as required
  • Responsibility for equal opportunity in delivery, access and attitude in aspects of service delivery
  • Working with teams across the nursery setting

Supporting children's learning and development
:


  • Preparing and maintaining the environment and resources for the children.
  • Preparation of food for breakfast, snack and afternoon tea.
  • Supporting children's selfhelp needs.

Being creative and enthusiastic.

  • Following Safeguarding rules and regulations to also meet the Standard of the Childcare Apprenticeship.
Level 3 NVQ - Advanced Diploma Early Years Educator - Your apprenticeship will last for 13 months. You will be supported by an assessor throughout your apprenticeship, as well as a mentor within the nursery.
You will be working full time in the nursery.

Your classroom days will be based online as a remote session which you will need to be fully available for, and your main childcare apprenticeship work will be done in a nursery local to you.
