About the Role:


Stony Medical Centre has fantastic opportunity to welcome a medical healthcare assistant to the team at their thriving training practice, working 30-34 hours a week, Monday-Friday.


You will work closely with our well established multi-disciplinary team to help provide clinical care and manage acute demand and chronic ongoing medical issues.

You will be assisting in patient care and practice related duties as directed by and under the supervision of a registered healthcare professional, working collaboratively with the general practice team to meet the needs of patients, following policy and procedures.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Phlebotomy
  • ECGs
  • BP monitoring
  • Removal of sutures
  • Part 1 diabetic checks
  • Flu, pneumonia and B12 injections
  • Simple dressings
  • NHS health checks
  • BNP and D-Dimer test
  • Assisting nurses and doctors with their clinics
  • Urinalysis
  • New patient/NHS health checks
  • Ordering of stock
  • Restocking & stock rotation of equipment
  • Restocking clinical rooms
  • Assisting with infection control procedures
Essential Criteria

  • Qualified in Phlebotomy
Desirable Criteria

  • Care certificate
  • Experience within primary care
