Leisure Guard Security Services are currently recruiting Security staff to join our teams for ongoing work all year round.

Many security companies will offer to keep you busy for the summer season however we offer work all year round at a variety of events from all the usual big name festivals to concerts, sites and venues nationwide as well as football stadia and holiday camps.

Our friendly experienced teams will make you feel welcome from day one and our fantastic in house team will always be on hand to advise you should you need it.

What the job involves

Carrying out pre-event checks of venues and events where necessary
Meeting and greeting customers, dealing with their queries and controlling entry to the event
Carrying out search procedures on visitors at entry to prevent prohibited items from entering the site
Patrolling the event area and monitoring crowds for any signs of overcrowding, stress or conflict
Dealing with and resolving conflict e.g. altercations, anti-social behaviour
Reporting any security/safety concerns to your Team Leader or Event Control
Responding to emergencies - raising the alarm, providing appropriate immediate help and assisting the emergency services as required
Recording of incidents following the correct process
What we're looking for from an SIA Event Security operative

Holder of a SIA Licence in Door Supervision or Close Protection
A professional image that will give customers confidence in your ability to create a safe environment and carry out your duties fairly and confidently
Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with the general public, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
Passion and pride in offering the finest customer care experience
Strong verbal and written communication abilities to liaise with other team members and event control efficiently
Team spirit, but able to work on own initiative and think/act fast
Diligence - being careful and conscientious in all your duties to ensure safety and a consistently high standard of service
Integrity - honest by nature and transparent in all you do
Flexible availability for shifts on both evenings and weekends, and always punctual
Physically able to deal with the demand of the role, providing a physical security presence

Salary:
£10.35-£12.19 per hour
