We are looking for Edgebander Operator for a joinery based in Bradford.JOB ROLE
Reporting to the Machine shop Supervisor, the role is to manage the complete process of edging.
The role will include managing the stock of edging tape, operate the edgebander, palletise all edged panels following standard process and maintain the machine according to manufacturer recommendation.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn line with the planned manufacturing schedule, edge all the different job folders in the correct sequence.
Ensure that correct edging tape is applied in relation to the specification shown on the cutting list.
Ensure that the panels are safely loaded and unloaded into the machine.
Ensure that the edging quality is to expected standards and adjust machine setting accordingly. Report any issues back to the supervisor
.Assist with material management with flagging up any concerns on stock levels.
Monitor edging time versus planned time
Ensure that the glue pot is maintained and cleaned at the end of each shift in line with manufacturer recommendations.
Qualification
Previous experience on operating edgebander
Knowledge of timber material specification
Previous experience in working in a factory environment
Working hours:
Salary:
£17,000.00-£20,000.00 per year
