Working for an established Recruitment company, who consist of 9 business within their organisation, made up of Recruitment businesses, an umbrella company and a shared service centre.

Covering sectors such as Education, Social Care Tuition, Life Sciences,Aviation, Sales and Marketing and Finance across the UK and Internationally.

As a Payroll Specialist you will be part of a team responsible for processing the various payrolls within the group of companies accurately and on-time and will undertake all elements of payroll from inputting date, processing HMRC and pension submissions,payroll reconciliation, BACS processing and creating client invoices.

This role is integral to the businesses Pay and Bill function, and means you will be working alongside a group of people who are all focused promoting the financial integrity and operationalefficiency of the department through exceptional accounting, income processing, billing and payroll services.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administers and runs assigned payrolls in accordance with operating procedures and deadlines ensuring that all payrolls and invoice runs are processed efficiently, effectively, accurately and are paid and billed on time working to strict deadlines.
  • Ensure starters and leavers are processed correctly and in a timely manner
  • Assists with maintenance of all pension records in line with the regulations
  • Processes payments and statutory/voluntary deductions in in accordance with internal authorisation procedures
  • Completes and returns, payroll data to other thirdparty organisations like HMRC, pension providers, courts and child support agency
  • Works with Home Managers and employees, being a point of contact to ensure that payroll and invoicing queries and problems are resolved
  • Ensurer and maintains strict confidentiality over employee data and information, ensuring full compliance with data protection regulations
  • Works with the team to meet challenging KPI'S and targets whilst providing support to the other payroll team members
  • Completes payroll and invoice reconciliations and analysis to ensure accurate payroll data
  • Assist the Senior Payroll Specialist with ongoing projects and improvement plans

Key Skills:
years relevant payroll experience

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills to include Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Selfmotivated individual with an improvement mind set
  • Be able to work within a team and to coordinate with other departments
  • Strong numeracy and time management skills
  • Professionalism and integrity
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and Merit is beneficial but not essential
Experience of working in a recruitment business or high transactional business would be advantageous.
