Your work will directly contribute to Elliptic's industry-leading intelligence dataset, which powers our products and enables top tier financial institutions and law enforcement agencies to prevent financial crime.

Your insights will also form the basis of client-facing research as well as marketing content. Previous Elliptic research has been featured in the

Your investigations will protect our clients, support global regulators, and arm law enforcement; you will help bring criminals to justice.

What you will do:

As a senior member of the investigations team:_
Create an environment where standardised, professional crypto investigations can be undertaken to an evidential standard
Productise investigations that have a consistent output and can be easily and effectively shared with interested parties
Formulate strategy and processes that allow us to engage in investigation opportunities with clients, prospects, and key industry actors
Support the wider team with investigations into data integrity issues or bugs with the product suite
Facilitate and encourage a wider group of interested people within the business to contribute to investigations in a structured and timebound way
Contribute to shaping the Crypto Investigator career pathway at Elliptic
Conducting investigations at Elliptic:_
Prepare and deliver intelligence briefings, including briefing on work performed by external investigators
Conduct forensic investigations on behalf of customers, prospects, or key industry actors
Investigate emerging areas of crypto threat and key industry events, as identified by our research team
Contribute content to our investigator certification products
Run workshops with high profile clients to train them on our products and educate them on crypto investigations
Take managed risks, always considering the impact on self and Elliptic of your actions

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

You will be a great fit here if you:

Have an eye for detail
Are curious about how criminals use crypto and blockchain technology
Love collaborating with others to solve problems
Comfortable presenting to groups of people
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills the ability to distil complex concepts and data into concise explanations
4+ years in an investigation, threat intelligence, cybersecurity or intelligence role, with active exposure to crypto use in illicit finance.
Formal training in Intelligence and Investigation (PIP2 or similar)
A deep understanding of cybercrime
Open source intelligence and dark web research skills

Bonus points:

A technical understanding of cryptoassets and blockchains
SC or higher security clearance
