Working for a rapidly growing specialist consumer retailer across sports categories who sell to customers in 45 countries, the Senior eCommerce Manager / Head of eCommerce / eCommerce Trading Lead involves building out the eCommerce capability to drivetrading performance, working with marketing and category teams.

They have a super advanced bespoke tech stack, with incredible technical teams, so are able to build advanced capability across eCommerce, marketing and analytics very quickly.

They also have incredible customer data that will be at your disposal.

They have3 global distribution hubs and exciting growth plans, including adding to their own ranges of high margin products, which they sell alongside high-profile branded products.

The is a stand-alone role and is their first dedicated eCommerce hire, so there will be huge potential to make quick-win improvements and shape the longer-term trading environment, taking on more responsibility over time.

They have experienced marketing, categorymanagement, product management and development teams in place that you'll work with.
This is a hybrid role based in central London, with 2DPW at home.
The Senior eCommerce Manager / Head of eCommerce / eCommerce Trading Lead will:

  • Own sales/revenue targets for the D2C digital channel, across all global territories.
  • Work with leadership to develop and execute the trading strategy, developing business cases for investments where needed
  • Work with the marketing team to develop and shape the seasonal trading calendar
  • Coordinate and collaborate with marketing to drive high quality customer traffic via performance channels and customer marketing / CRM
  • Fully own the onsite experience, continually driving UX improvements and conversion rate optimisation / CRO.
  • Work with the category teams to enhance onsite merchandising, crosssell, upsell and optimised basket size
  • Use data to understand customer behaviour, optimise targeting, increase personalisation, and optimise UX.
  • Strong ecommerce trading experience in any consumer product environment (ie sports, clothing, health, fitness, homeware, garden, gifting, consumer electronics, etc)
  • A very strong data focus, deferring to data and insight to make informed decisions and guesses.
  • Experience in a fastpaced test and learn trading environment to optimise customer experience and conversion funnel.
  • Very strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience, with ability to work with commercial and technical teams, internally and externally if required.
  • Comfort shaping strategy and getting into the detail, being very hands on where needed.
  • Any experience selling internationally and working with branded products is an advantage, but is not essential.
