The Manchester office are looking for an Associate Director with an Electrical engineering background to join their established team based in Manchester.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, Client facing Engineer to take a leading role on a variety of exciting projects across the North West, with National and International opportunities also available.
As an Associate Director, your main responsibilities will be:
Act as Lead engineer for mid to large size projects
Maintain Client relationships with a number of key clients.
Manage a team of engineers
Undertake quality checks and promote technical excellence
Accountable for the results of the team and adherence to agreed upon budget.
Act as a mentor to other staff and promote CPD activities
Carry out risk assessments and value engineering
Contribute to and provide information for fee proposals
Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Extensive experience in Electrical building services design in a wide range of market sectors.
Previous experience in managing projects and small teams.
The ability to provide technically sound design solutions.
Security Clearance may be required to work on some projects
Experience of seeing conceptual designs through to completion and dealing directly with clients
Work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business
Relevant experience in Electrical Engineering design, including areas such as specification writing, calculations, and developing designs from first principles.
Software, must be conversant with:
AmtechRelux / DialuxAUTOCADMS OfficeRevit (not essential)
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English, able to inspire, influence and negotiate
Full UK Driving Licence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in building services or electrical engineering,
Preferably Chartered or working towards Chartership status.
Membership of CIBSE, or relevant and equivalent professional body.
