The Company

Able Bridge Recruitment are exclusively working with an outsourced HR and Employment Law provider in the recruitment of several high profile and key roles within the organisation.

We have been retained by the business to support them in the recruitment of andEmployment Law Adviser on a permanent basis.


The role will be based out of either the Edinburgh or Glasgow office although the successful applicant will work on a hybrid office/home basis.

Some of these include online yoga, online social forums as well as online book clubs which all facilitate a one team approach across multiple UK locations.


The Responsibilities

The purpose of the Employment Law Adviser within a client is to provide high quality, pragmatic and effective employment law advice to business that contract them to do so.

Typically your portfolio will include small medium sized businesses who may not havea designated HR department.

Your remit will be to deliver employee relations/employment law services at the same time building a strong and trusting relationship with your client base.


On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following;
Provide high quality advice and legally compliant documentation to clients

Proactively manage a dedicated portfolio of contract and handbook reviews by maintaining regular contact with key stakeholders, managing expectations for delivery.

Responsibility to make sure all advice to clients is timely, efficient, accurate, practical, and commercial.
Support senior advisers with proposals and prospective clients' meetings.
Liaise with employee representatives in respect of early conciliation and associated issues. Esurance that there is complete compliance in respect to our clients frameworks and upkeep of clients requirements and relevant professional standards

Help clients to achieve their commercial objectives, whilst complying with the law or clearly advising on the consequences of none or partial compliance where this is being considered by the client.

Occasionally undertake external client training as required/deliver training for paralegals/trainees.
To undertake litigation and/or HR consultancy work as required.
