We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated
SEND 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join a large Primary School in the
Leicester area.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with
Complex Needs and support their educational journey.

This role is working in
KS1 and will be full time from September 2023.

Responsibilities:

Provide oneonone support to a student with SEND, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and implement personalised education plans.
Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate the unique learning styles and abilities of the student.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional development of the student.
Assist with classroom activities and facilitate the student's integration into group activities whenever possible.
Monitor the student's progress, record observations, and provide feedback to the class teacher and relevant professionals.
Work closely with parents and caregivers, providing updates on the student's progress and offering support and guidance.
Implement behaviour management strategies and provide a supportive and nurturing environment for the student.

Requirements:

Experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a school or educational setting.
Strong knowledge of various SEND conditions, learning difficulties, and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
Patient, empathetic, and understanding approach, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and professionals.
A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the student.
Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or Teaching Assistant roles are desirable but not essential.
An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required prior.
