Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated
SEND 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join a large Primary School in the
Leicester area.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with
Complex Needs and support their educational journey.

This role is working in
KS1 and will be full time from September 2023.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide oneonone support to a student with SEND, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals to develop and implement personalised education plans.
  • Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate the unique learning styles and abilities of the student.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional development of the student.
  • Assist with classroom activities and facilitate the student's integration into group activities whenever possible.
  • Monitor the student's progress, record observations, and provide feedback to the class teacher and relevant professionals.
  • Work closely with parents and caregivers, providing updates on the student's progress and offering support and guidance.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and provide a supportive and nurturing environment for the student.

Requirements:


  • Experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various SEND conditions, learning difficulties, and strategies for supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Patient, empathetic, and understanding approach, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and professionals.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the student.
  • Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs or Teaching Assistant roles are desirable but not essential.
  • An enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required prior.

Salary:
£16,007.00-£16,787.00 per day
