One of the UK's most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations is looking for Divisional Administrative Support for the current divisional headquarters (DHQ) based in Barton Way, Norwich.

The successful applicant will provide a professional and client focused pro-active administration service, supporting our local churches throughout the East of England.

The role is office based.

This is a fixed term contract for 6 months due to the intended relocation of the office to Waterbeach in Cambridgeshire.


Key responsibilities:

and visitors to the DHQ including volunteer and fundraising enquiries

  • Fulfil relevant financial processes including processing invoices using
the Salvation Army accounting system

  • Arrange meetings and take minutes as required
  • Manage the overall divisional diary/calendar
  • Manage DHQ room bookings, including the provision of any relevant equipment, catering and requested room lay outs
  • Maintain both computer databases and hard copy filing systems
  • Assist with the administration and organising of DHQ events and initiatives
  • Previous experience of working successfully in a similar administration role within a busy and varied work environment
  • Good communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to develop successful, and collaborative working relationships
  • The ability and willingness to work within, be empathic with and
- promote the Christian ethos and values of The Salvation Army Mission

  • Be educated to NVQ Level 2/5 GCSE A*C or equivalent relevant Experience
