SEN Teaching Assistant required for Secondary School in Enfield

Are you a Turkish speaking, experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or Youth Worker looking for a new and rewarding opportunity?

Tradewind recruitment is recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a secondary school in Enfield supporting students who need additional support for behaviour.

You will be with the pupil on a 1:1 and small group basis across all classes and year groups to assist students who are finding school frustrating and who can be disruptive as a result.

The students speak Turkish as their home language and some are new to English.

The school requires someone who has an excellent levels of spoken and written English and Turkish as you may be helping the students to develop their English and also liaisingbetween home and school and times.

You should have experience of working with students with challenging behaviour in a school environment.

You should be able to calmly diffuse situations, be able to help students develop ways of coping with challenging events and have a calm, positive approach.

This role is to start ASAP until the end of the academic year. Working hours are 8:15am pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.

Salary is £90-95 per day, depending on experience,

The school is looking for:

Previous experience working within a Secondary school setting
Experience working with students with SEN or challenging behaviour
The school is located in Haringey with excellent access to public transport links and a school carpark.
