SEND Teaching Assistant


Location:
Rochdale


Tempest Resourcing is currently looking for an experienced teaching assistant to work at a local secondary school in the Rochdale area.

The position will begin on Monday 27th February and will continue on a part-time basis, 3 days per week until the endof the academic year.

The role will involve working 1-1 with a pupil with autism, helping and supporting them with their studies.


Key requirements

  • Previous experience working with secondary age
  • Calm and patient demeanour
  • Able to engage and build rapport quickly
  • Happy to work on a 11 basis
  • Experience of working with pupils with autism


The role would suit someone who has previously worked in a secondary school as a SEND Teaching Assistant but also someone who has worked with students in a different setting such a sports club, drama club, youth club or as a Scout or Guide leader.


The focus is on being able to engage and build rapport with this student to ensure they respond positively to the additional 1-1 support.
