Are you an organised and methodical Engineering Stores Coordinator at the top of your game

If so, our Engineers knead you We have an opportunity for an Engineering Stores Coordinator to support our Engineering team in Wakefield.

You'll be comfortable working in Excel and preferably SAP, keeping a track of spare parts and ordering new parts to ensureour Engineers have what they knead to keep our bread plants running.

The Recipe


You'll develop the engineering stores stock holding strategy to manage inventory levels, proactive identification of high part usage, root cause of stock outs, cost reduction and standardisation to improved performance and drive high asset efficiency.

You will be the first point of contact for our internal customers regarding purchasing and engineering stores.

This is a pivotal role within our engineering department ensuring spare parts are ordered in a timely manner, recorded using Excel and stored in thecorrect place.

You'll liaise directly with suppliers and regularly communicate with our engineering team to keep them updated on required parts.

As an organised and methodical stores coordinator, you'll update the repairs and maintenance budget, and ensure all generaladministrative duties are completed.


Key Accountabilities and Measures

  • Management of engineering stores ensure all parts are identified and located correctly in the stores
  • Drive asset reliability through comprehensive criticality based spare part holding.
  • Ensuring that spare parts are stored safely and correctly enabling engineers to locate parts when required
  • Manage and control yearly review of asset criticality study. Spare part register to be maintained and all assets to be documented
  • Ensure Engineering spend is managed effectively through accurate administration, liaise with relevant parties to ensure there are no issues with SAP
  • Ensure that all items that require outside refurbishment are dealt with appropriately
  • Information & reporting provide weekly and period Engineering KPI reports, weekly and period spend reports and produce Ad Hoc reports on request.
  • Liaise with all Engineering team members and ensure correct admin / stores procedures are adhered to.
  • Identification of cost reduction opportunities for spare part supply
  • Contractor management day to day management of contractors, sign in and out, review method statements

Essential Ingredients

  • Previous experience in an Engineering Stores role
  • Good knowledge of engineering parts
  • Working knowledge of SAP Procurement is preferred
  • Knowledge of IT systems & fully proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Previous Contractor Management experience is desirable but not essential as this can be trained
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexibly to support the needs of the business
