Description

The Yard Foreman is responsible for processing instructions received from the events office as requested, ensuring quality, safety, security and minimising wastage.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure security of workshop and stock
  • Periodically carry out safety checks on equipment / tools
  • Allocate work and ensure effective working of Yard staff
  • Liaise with Depot Manager on work in progress to ensure orders are completed on time
  • Allocate units for jobs
  • Inspect units prior to delivery to ensure they are fit for site
  • Inspect units on return to depot and report any damages or missing items
  • Minimise material wastage
  • Ensure safe loading / unloading of cabins
  • Maintain a log of units going out and coming in
  • Ensure workshop and yard are maintained in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Ad to current health and safety legislation.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Forklift Licence
  • Driving Licence
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical (basic)
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Joinery
