Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for students
- Support students with special needs, including those with autism or other learning disabilities
- Provide oneonone tutoring and mentoring to students who require additional support
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and modify lesson plans based on student needs
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the lead teacher and parents/guardians
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
Skills:
- Strong ability to educate and engage with children of various ages and abilities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or other special needs populations
- Knowledge of tutoring and mentoring techniques to support student learning
- Familiarity with special education practices and strategies
