HEAD OF DATA ANALYTICS

At Metrea Mission Data (MMD) we are experts in missionising and disseminating data; combining vast amounts of disparate data sets to provide valuable insights and analysis for our customers.

Our deep-rooted knowledge of Tactical Data Links and Secure Networking allows us to serve these insights to where they will have the biggest impact.


We are now seeking an experienced and highly motivated Head of Data Analytics (DA) to run our Data Analytics business area.


The Head of Data Analytics' responsibilities will be:
Financial

  • 1.Providing the input into the annual financial planning cycle to agree a budget for DA with Key Performance Indicators that can be tracked throughout the year.
  • 2.Oversight and management of the agreed DA budget to include P&L and Balance Sheet tracking.
Strategic

  • 1.Shaping the strategy and direction of DA through ownership of the input into the annual Business cycle including recruitment requirements, market analysis and investment projects.
  • 2.Supporting the generation of Imperatives and OKRs for the business as part of the Business Planning process.
  • 3.Creating a plan to achieve the strategy set out in the BP.
  • 4.Understanding and helping to shape the product roadmaps of DA related products and services.
Operational

  • 1.Running the DA area in line with the agreed goals within the Business Plan.
  • 2.Overseeing recruitment and resourcing in line with the agreed Business and Financial Plan.
  • 3.Line Managing the Chief Engineers, Product Managers and Solution Development Manager.
  • 4.Being responsible for the achievement of any TAGs or Investment Projects agreed as part of the Business Planning process.
  • 5.Liaising with the Head of Ops to ensure access to the necessary MMD or Metrea shared services including Commercial, Bid Support, Export Management and Business Assurance.
Collaboration

  • 1.Maintaining a broad understanding of the other Metrea Business Unit solutions and supporting their generation and sustainment when appropriate.
  • 2.Liaising with the broader Enterprise to promote collaborative working on relevant projects. 3.Establishing and maintaining strong connections with external partners that support the DA area achieving its agreed business objectives.
What we are looking for?- A deep background in Data Analytics having spent time within the Defence industry delivering either DA Products or Services into MOD. Strong leadership and management skills with recent experience in running a team that has a strong software and product focus. A deep passion for learning and a desire to be constantly furthering your professional knowledge. Strong organisational skills with an ability to work independently whilst planning, prioritising and managing your workload. Great programme management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects.
