I am looking for an all-female team who can drive to support me to maintain my College attendance. I need you to be understanding and curious about what my behavioural responses mean to me.

I would ask that you are non-judgmental, truthful and can see meas a young lady with the potential to live an enriched life with the support of a team that I can build trusting and secure relationships with.

You will need to have patience, empathy, acceptance and be a good communicator who is able to read and respond tomy verbal and nonverbal signs of anxiety and distress by providing consistent clear boundaries.

I would like you to be chatty, bubbly, possess a young outlook and have a good understanding of issues experienced by young people who have experienced trauma

I would love to hear from you, I am a 17-year-old young lady who is looking for a staff team that can support me to live in my own home and learn the skills that I need to become independent.

I will need you to help me develop trusting relationships withothers as I have had a great deal of uncertainty in my life.


I have never had the opportunity to live in my own house so I would need you to support me to develop skills in budgeting, cooking, cleaning, shopping, paying bills, transporting me tocollege, planning outings and what to expect from others.


It would be exciting to learn about new opportunities that are available for me, I need people that can guide and explore these with me.


I sometimes feel anxious about new situations and what to expect, my past experiences mean that I don't always respond in a way that others would expect.

I need my team to be motivated and objective in finding out about what works well for me and why.


Main Responsibilities

As a Support Worker within Gray Healthcare you will join a specialist team supporting an individual within their own home.

We support people with complex needs, who may have a Learning Disability, Autism, Personality Disorder, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI),Substance Misuse issues, and people whom require support with their Mental Health.

You will be an instrumental part of the team and will receive outstanding clinical support, leadership and person-centred training.

In this role you will support an individual to develop or regain life skills, assisting participation in community life bybuilding strong and trusting working relationships.


You will be able to manage difficult situations calmly and are able to work within agreed evident based interventions that provide Attachment and Trauma Informed approaches.

You will need to be resilient, emotionally, and physically fit to do this role.

You will need to have flexibly to cover shifts which would include earlies, lates, sleep ins, weekends, and bank holidays.


To assist with your own personal and professional development; you will be invited to attend our unique Gray Healthcare Training Programme.

This will consist of several days and includes workshops such as, Psychological Support, Communication Skills and Clinical Interventions to ensure you are supported to develop the skills to meet the holistic needs of a person with complex care needs
