Description

As a Job Coach you will work closely with Mahaba's team, you will be helping young people to gain transferable work skills to help them demonstrate increased confidence and independence within the retail and food service environment, particularly in the following areas: health and safety; preparing drinks and snacks; money handling and sales; customer service and employability skills.

You will understand the particular needs of the young people, their goals and any barriers that they might face to gain and remain in employment.

You will actively seek local and accessible opportunities for employment.

You will deliver inductions and initial assessments and create supportive action plans in collaboration with participants and colleagues, to help participants achieve their goals.

Each young person will receive wrap-around support to ensure the variety of their needs are being met.

You will carry out weekly feedback and self-review sessions through a personalised workbook to help to enhance their existing skills and develop new ones through a range of supportive activities.

[ Young people undertake a bespoke curriculum over a minimum of 12 weeks. ]
