Experienced Wedding and Events Co-ordinator

Escape to the countryside and consider a career at one of the North East's most unique events venues. We Boast Northumberland's most awe inspiring wedding location and exclusive use estate. Steeped in history, our Tower and grounds present a picturesque backdrop to the perfect wedding or event. The Estate dates back to 1257 and has recently been lovingly restored, blending tradition and contemporary flourishes. Also accompanied by a Purpose built woodland suite, luxurious renovated cottages and beautiful gardens and grounds.

Responsibilities are (but not limited to)

  • To operate as a well motivated sales representative for both corporate and wedding events and contribute to the effective delivery of our teams' events targets.
  • Engaging in both inbound and outbound enquires as required through various communication channels. Also using the chase system on a daily basis to convert buisness.
  • Conducting show rounds of our facilities with potential clients and business partners and selling the strengths of our rural venue and it's beautiful location.
  • Arranging regular planning meetings with clients
  • Contributing to the team achieving their monthly and annual sales targets and attending weekly meetings with the management.
  • Keeping stringent records and inputting data into our systems about the events being organised. Ensuring accurate quotes and contracts are sent out to clients.
  • Liaising with clients between booking and event delivery to ensure everything is discussed and recorded.
  • Taking and managing deposits and payments.
  • Notifying overdue payments and ensure stringent follow up.
  • Coordinating on the wedding day, must be able to work weekends and late nights.
  • Recording customer feedback Requirements.
  • The ability to effectively sell products and services to both wedding and business customers with good conversion rates and excellent customer feedback.
  • To work effectively as part of a team.
  • To be punctual and dependable with consistent availability delivered to customers.
  • To be committed to ensuring every wedding and event organised is a success.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a high end wedding / corporate event / premium hospitality management is required.
  • You will be IT literate with good knowledge of computer systems.
  • As many incoming enquiries, appointments and events occur at evenings and weekends the role requires flexible working hours and the shifts will change week to week and include weekends and late evenings.

Salary:
£20,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Holidays
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Newcastle upon Tyne, NE20 0HD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

- co ordinating events: 2 years (preferred)
