GTS Transportation is currently recruiting for a Buyer for our client, based in Milton Keynes.

Are you an experienced Buyer?

Have you experience of working on projects, specifically within the Rail industry?

If so, this role may be for you


Our client is looking for an experienced Buyer, who has ideally worked within the Rail, Automotive, Aerospace or Manufacturing industries.


This role will report into the VP of Business Development, Sales & Projects, although will involve self-management, and the ability to work across different teams with the business and ensure commercial focus.


You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and building relationships with new and existing suppliers, both UK based and overseas.
  • You will be the Supply Chain representative on all new projects.
  • You will ensure targets for price, quality and delivery times are met within the business.
  • New product research, along with new supplier research, to support on unique projects.


This is an exciting role to work on special projects within the business and so you must have a commercial acumen with the ability to be project focused.

You will also have the following skills

  • A proven background in Rail, Automotive, Aerospace or Manufacturing purchasing.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Project focused, ideally some project qualifications.
  • CIPS membership or studying towards.
  • Experience of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Strong negotiation skills.


This role is located in Milton Keynes, you must be able to commute to the office as you will be expected to work from the office 4 days per week.


Salary:
£31,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
