EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT PRACTITIONER - Full Time, Fixed Term to 31 March 2025

Fusion Housing is looking for someone to work alongside the Learning Tutor supporting clients to move into employment, work experience, volunteering, learning and training under externally funded contracts such as Works Better or other employment support contracts.


This post will be to engage a targeted group of unemployed people from the most disadvantaged wards across Calderdale, Kirklees & Wakefield prepare and support them into sustained learning or employment.


The key responsibilities and duties are

  • To support clients in achieving employment, volunteering, training, learning and work experience outcomes including accessing adequate support services which meet their needs.
  • To carry out client assessments and develop personalised action plans within specific time scales.
  • To carry out community engagement, delivering outreach information sessions within Fusion's supported housing portfolio and Food Bank and building links across works and skills providers.
  • To develop and deliver interventions and development sessions with clients and referral partners as required, to further their progression in achieving goals and aspirations.
