Shorterm Group are delighted to be working with a large organisation that is heavily involved in the power industry and are looking for a Senior Project Accountant to join the team on a temporary basis for around 3 months.

Reporting into the Head of Finance your duties will be:

  • Responsible for the timely and accurate recording, preparation and presentation of project financial information.
  • Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of all financial information presented at the Monthly Project reviews.
  • Provide all the necessary financial requirements in a professional and timeous manner.
  • Provide ongoing financial advice and support to the Project Managers and their team.
  • Responsible for ensuring that costs to complete and their assumptions are properly supported and disclosed. Ensure that project financial forecasts are aligned with project programmes.
  • Ensure that project risks and opportunities, mitigation plans and savings plans are properly calculated and disclosed at the project reviews.
  • Maintain effective systems and processes to enable the accurate recording of all project costs including contract and subcontractor accruals, outstanding purchase orders, GRNI, timesheet bookings, WBS and coding notifications etc.

The rates are as follows:

PAYE:
£279.65

Ltd/Umbrella (IR35 status TBD): £350

There is also a bonus of 10 days pay applicable at the end of the assignment. Hybrid working is also available working 2 days per week from home.
