Are you an experienced, motivated, and empathetic HR Advisor looking for a new, exciting opportunity?


We are working with a fantastic client based in Foston who are looking to hire a HR Advisor who will be the first contact point supporting the client's business in addition to being responsible for all aspects of the HR administrative processes through thefull employee lifecycle, from on-boarding to exit, reward and recognition and maintenance of internal records.


To be considered for the role, you'll require the following essentials:

  • Good standard of Education (e.g., GCSE's including Maths and English)
  • Experience in HR Administration
  • An ability to prioritise a busy and demanding workload with excellent organisational skills.
  • Looking to build on their current HR experience with some knowledge of the entire HR lifecycle, best practice, and employment law.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Ability to make effective decisions
  • Ability to appropriately question, challenge and improve upon existing processes
  • Resilience with an ability to keep calm under pressure and continue to follow the correct processes even under difficult circumstances
  • Ability to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information
  • Willingness to build strong interpersonal relationships with team members and other departments

Within this position, you'll also be:

  • Working with all organisational managers to maintain and develop a positive progressive culture within the business
  • Participating in the recruitment and selection of staff
  • Supporting with the recruitment process
  • Delivering HR inductions and conduct ofboarding as required
  • Raising and issuing contracts for new starters
  • Identifying training requirements per position
  • Supporting managers with training requirements
  • Managing and following up all HR actions that are raised within the HR software
  • Maintaining employee files in line with Legislation
  • Processing return to work, doctors' notes, DBS checks, updating trackers, ensuring the right to work checks are up to date, auditing of staff files, scanning and filing
  • Liaising with our payroll team to ensure all people data remains accurate and reflects changes in the starters/leavers/absence processes
  • Providing guidance to our managers and employees signposting to our people policies and processes
  • Assisting with Employee Relations issues such as minute meetings
  • Managing changes to staff holidays and sickness, as this is continuous owing to the nature of the business
  • Reviewing and updating SOPs
  • Ensuring documents are scanned, uploaded, and processed
  • Managing incoming phone calls/queries
  • Providing Employment References
  • Supporting, complying, and ensuring complicity with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations,
  • Ensuring all processes are adhered to by all departmental staff
  • Supporting, complying, and ensuring complicity with the company's Quality Policy Document
  • Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on operational and development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales
  • Ensuring that employee relations cases are completed within agreed SLAs
  • Producing regular KPIs regarding departmental performance in terms of people management
  • Utilising employee data and trend analysis to assist the HR team in the education of staff on people issues,
**Salary & Working Hours
Salary is £24,000 - £26,000 per annum dependent on experience

Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:00 although flexibility in the hours worked will be required

Access to own vehicle due to current location
