Successful Senior Accounts Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the day to day running of the finance function and preparing management reports
  • Managing the sales, purchase and nominal ledgers along with the credit control function
  • Preparing cash book records, reconciling with monthly bank statements and investigating any variances
  • Calculating and completing VAT returns on a quarterly basis and posting online payments to HMRC
  • Producing monthly management accounts and taking responsibility for monthend and year end processes
  • Preparing a wide range of financial reports and analytical schedules for the Directors

Profile

  • Experience in a bookkeeping or similar role, probably with an AAT qualification, ACCA/ACA or part qualified.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of an organisation
  • Critical thinker with good problemsolving skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Respects confidentiality/sensitive information at all times
  • Selfmotivated with a cando attitude


  • Ideally Microsoft Dynamics

  • Business Central experience.
