We are looking for qualified counsellors with experience of working with grief and loss to join our Supportive Care Team:-
Supportive Care Deputy Team Lead:
£36,000 per annum, pro rata.

Supportive Care Counsellor:
£28,400 per annum, pro rata
Full or part time hours are available for both roles.

About the role
Our outstanding, person-centred palliative care, positively impacts on the physical, social, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of our patients and their relatives and carers, continuing into bereavement.
Our clients are at the centre of everything we do and using a variety of skills and therapies we offer a space to talk and explore things that may help.
The team offer counselling, complementary therapies and other activities, delivered one-to-one or in groups, that support and nurture people through challenging times.
We work across North Devon and deliver services at both the main hospice in Barnstaple and our outreach centre, The Long House, in Holsworthy.
To succeed in these roles, you will have:
- A qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy to at least diploma level, with BACP, or equivalent body, registration and ideally accreditation
- Relevant experience of working with loss and grief and an understanding of the emotional and spiritual impact of illness, loss and suffering
- Highly developed communication and assessment skills and experience of onetoone interventions and group work
- Qualification in and /or experience of providing supervision and mentoring
- Experience of case load management and service planning, development and improvement
- Extensive clinical experience and theoretical knowledge relating to loss and grief
- Experience of leading and developing a team
