Operations Manager

Welwyn Garden City

Monday-Friday 8.30am-5pm (4pm finish Friday)

Salary is £40,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience
An exciting opportunity is available to join a business which has stood for outstanding quality for almost 40 years.


Are you an experienced Operations Manager looking for that next challenge? This role is working in a small, friendly and professional team who work together to achieve results and success.

The main purpose of this role is to manage and coordinate all after sales activities. This will include managing parts/equipment returns and providing technical support to customers and partners. You will also manage a small Operations team, which includes,Marketing, Finance and Sales.


You must demonstrate excellent customer service skills as you will work closely with the Sales and Operations teams managing customer enquiries and identify and resolve any customer issues or complaints.


As Operations Manager, you will have responsibility for implementing and maintaining after-sales policies and procedures, ensuring this is rolled out to the team and they are fully trained and aware of all procedures.

You will also develop operations processesthat optimise efficiency, productivity and quality.


Working closely with the Sales team, you will forecast product demand and prepare and set production schedules to ensure delivery times are met.


This client is looking for someone who has previously worked as an Operations Manager, with proven experience in operations management, leadership skills and excellent communication skills.


You will need a strong understanding of inventory management and production processes as well as experience with quality control procedures.

Experience in the building materials industry would be advantageous.
