The Infrastructure team with our M&A Advisory business

Our wider Infrastructure transaction team is a leading Infrastructure sector advisor in Europe, regularly advising on high profile sell-side, buy-side and project financing transactions, supporting some of the largest Infrastructure businesses and investors globally.

We are currently growing our M&A capability in the Infrastructure sector with the aim of becoming a leading M&A advisor to the sector alongside our existing market leading teams in transaction diligence, strategy and tax.

Our work is focused on projects within the UK and continental Europe, Africa and further afield, regularly working on international and cross-border projects.

Team members will also have the opportunity to be involved in transactions across the wider EY Corporate Finance business.

As a member of our dynamic and diverse team, you will receive both formal and on the job learning from sector experts, which will help you to develop the skills needed to become an effective advisor.

The requirement

To continue building on the success of our Infrastructure Corporate Finance team, there is an opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure sector Corporate Finance VP/Assistant Director/Director to join the team.

Your key responsibilities

Responsibility for execution of transactions across the client portfolio
Effective management of deal teams
Contribute fully to all aspects of Practice management including; developing coaching and managing team members to elevate performance levels across the team, client account management and driving a culture of inclusivity, operational excellence and quality
Drive revenue growth, originate transaction ideas, target client origination and existing client diversification and all associated business development activities to expand EY's market share
Contribute to delivery of wider strategic objectives across transactions, as well as supporting and participating in initiatives for growth of the firm as a whole.

Qualifications and background

Good academic background
Strong experience in a corporate finance environment, including experience playing a lead role in executing transactions
Several (6+) years of corporate finance, M&A advisory or related experience.

Credentials sought

Highly developed knowledge of the Infrastructure sector generally together with a more detailed knowledge of some sub sectors
Demonstrable track record of originating and executing corporate finance transactions especially mergers and acquisitions, project finance, financial modelling, negotiation, commercial and financial skills
High degree of personal drive and motivation to succeed
Proven leader, manager and motivator of people
Track record of involvement in successfully pitching for business, identifying and anticipating commercial opportunities and converting networking activity into delivery of revenue.
Strong stakeholder management skills
Ability to navigate successfully across complex, geographically and commercial diverse operations and work collaboratively with colleagues across the EY network
Teamoriented with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
