Description

The Faculty of Law seeks to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Careers Officer to engage with students, alumni, and employer organisations, with a strong emphasis on careers support, external engagement, partnership, and enhancing the student experience.

This is a brand new position, in which the postholder will play a key role in developing and coordinating careers support for students who require specialist advice, delivering a bespoke service that will complement the support provided by our University Careers Service and the support already offered to some students by our course administration teams.

A second, equally important aspect of this role, is to help the Faculty meet its access objectives by helping access undergraduate students to convert their academic achievements into successful employment.

The postholder will report to our Communications Manager, will work closely with various Course Directors and Faculty Officers, and will sit at the intersection of multiple functions within the Faculty's Professional Services Staff ('PSS') team.

This post is permanent and full time.

The Faculty is principally based at the St Cross Building, Oxford but we support hybrid working on a flexible basis wherever possible, the exact arrangement to be agreed with the Line Manager.
