LEAD EARLY YEARS PRACTIONER


An exciting opportunity for a Lead Early Years Educator to join the team at Chiddingstone Nursery School CIO, a unique setting in the grounds of Chiddingstone Castle close to Tonbridge and Edenbridge.

We are seeking someone who is a natural and passionate early years educator.

You will be an inspirational leader who will enable the team to deliver excellent care and opportunities for children to learn.

You will engage with parents and carers to build their trust and support, listening to their needs and building the childcare provision available to them.

As the lead of a charity-lead, village setting, you will also have an ability to build relationships with the wider community, embedding the nursery as the go-to for young families in the area.

With a history of outstanding provision and an OFSTED 'Good' Chiddingstone Nursery School CIO is well established. You will have the intuition to respond to the developing needs of families in the local community. Your enthusiasm will drive the setting forwards, you will bring new ideas and develop opportunities for it to grow. The nursery is open term time only and supports children over the age of two.

You will have two years post-qualifying experience and a sound understanding of child development and children's needs.

You will possess an ability to plan and implement the curriculum in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage, taking into account the Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice.

You will have a strong knowledge of the OFSTED framework. You will be the OFSTED nominated person and the safeguarding lead at the setting.

Closing Date:

Friday 31st March 2023 and you will be in position on Monday 10thJuly for a full induction before the start of the academic year in September 2023.


Salary:

£16 per hour


Schedule:
hours a week (with scope for adjustment upwards, if required)

  • 8.45am to 3.15pm (Monday to Thursday) and 8.45am to 12.15pm (Friday)
  • Term time only 38 weeks a year
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends
