Cornwall Health and Care Partnership is committed to supporting the development of our newly qualified health professionals. It is a dynamic time in post-registration education and support with the introduction of new Practice Educator (Legacy Mentors).

This post would be suitable for a nursing or allied health professional.

You will work within a well-established team who have developed a strong networked community of practice across various providers.

To support our objectives the team are looking to recruit a Practice Educator (Legacy Mentors) to work across the health and care sector.


This opportunity is temporary for the next 12 months with secondments and flexible working considered. Those with experience of working within the primary care or social care sectors are encouraged to apply.


The person we are looking for will have; a strong clinical background with recent clinical experience, excellent communication skills, demonstrate a passion for education and act as a professional role model.

Previous experience of supporting learners will be essential. We will provide appropriate support and opportunities for your continued development.

Main duties of the job:


Legacy mentors provide essential professional advice, education and guidance, feeding forward their 'legacy' to the next generation and supporting staff health and wellbeing and career progression.


The role will involve working closely with the existing team to ensure your accumulated clinical wisdom is not lost and instead is used to impart knowledge, skills and experience to the next generation of newly appointed clinical professionals.

You will contribute to the development of high-quality learning environments. You will be responsible for developing positive working relationships across sectors working with autonomy.


The primary purpose of the role is to provide legacy mentorship to newly qualified health professionals working across the health and care system in Cornwall.
