Due to maternity leave, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Early Years, Education & Social Care department as a
Progress & Enrichment Officer.



Responsibilities include:


  • To support and care for all aspects of students needs both pastoral and academic.
  • To liaise effectively with curriculum staff.
  • To record all student meetings accurately on a specified platform
  • To complete all paperwork as required by the organisation and the awarding/professional bodies and other external agencies to a high standard
  • Produce accurate and up to date reports as requested.
  • Communicate effectively with parents / curriculum staff /the work placement / outside agencies etc
  • Provide up to date detail of progress and achievements.
  • Be responsive in the reporting of students who are falling behind quickly and agree detailed action plans with the student and course leader / work placement employer to provide the require support to promote achievement
  • Work with the lecturer / course leader and work placement officers.
  • Communicate effectively with work parents and placement providers where applicable.
  • Liaise directly with students, organise meetings with parental intervention and offer support to those who require it.

Education & Training

  • GCSE 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
  • GCSE 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
  • A Level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential

Experience

  • Current knowledge and relevant occupational experience in post 16 pastoral and academic care.
  • Proven experience of accurately writing reports.
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Capable of working with students with a wide range of abilities
  • Ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Experience of working within a customer focused environment
