Description

Due to maternity leave, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Early Years, Education & Social Care department as a
Progress & Enrichment Officer.

Responsibilities include:

To support and care for all aspects of students needs both pastoral and academic.
To liaise effectively with curriculum staff.
To record all student meetings accurately on a specified platform
To complete all paperwork as required by the organisation and the awarding/professional bodies and other external agencies to a high standard
Produce accurate and up to date reports as requested.
Communicate effectively with parents / curriculum staff /the work placement / outside agencies etc
Provide up to date detail of progress and achievements.
Be responsive in the reporting of students who are falling behind quickly and agree detailed action plans with the student and course leader / work placement employer to provide the require support to promote achievement
Work with the lecturer / course leader and work placement officers.
Communicate effectively with work parents and placement providers where applicable.
Liaise directly with students, organise meetings with parental intervention and offer support to those who require it.

Education & Training

GCSE 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
GCSE 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in English or be prepared to pass a test prior to interview to demonstrate level 2 ability and then if appointed achieve within an agreed timescale
A Level 3 qualification is desirable but not essential

Experience

Current knowledge and relevant occupational experience in post 16 pastoral and academic care.
Proven experience of accurately writing reports.
Ability to meet deadlines
Capable of working with students with a wide range of abilities
Ability to engage and motivate students.
Experience of working within a customer focused environment
