Mechanical Fitter

Bristol

£14-19 phr (plus time and half overtime)

In this role you will be accountable for:

  • You will be a team player, who can work to deadlines whilst maintaining the highest degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Dismantling and assembly of various types of Mechanical equipment
  • Ability to dismantle, proof mark equipment, draw sketch and/or photograph equipment to ensure accurate dismantling/identification of customer equipment
  • Provide support to Mechanical Supervisors to determine root cause of failure to customer equipment
  • Removal/Assembly and fitting of various type of bearings
  • Safe Use of Hydraulic Jacks and Torquing Equipment

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience with working with all types of medium to heavy mechanical equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
  • Recognised Mechanical apprenticeship
  • To occasionally work away from home at our Customer's Sites, liaise with the customer whilst undertaking the job in has mostly as part of a team.
  • Proven experience within a mechanical workshop environment
  • Ensure the relevant paperwork is completed for all the daily tasks set such as Project Router documents, inspections reports, drawings when required and daily time sheets.
  • Working with rotating mechanical equipment, Rotalign Laser Alignment Equipment, and conventional machine tools would be advantageous
