Hours of Work - Shift Patterns
- Days
- Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm, Friday 7am to 2pm
- Lates
- Monday to Thursday 3:00pm to 9:30pm, Friday 7am to 2pm
Responsibilities
- To review engineering drawings prior to Fabrication and welding Duties.
- Perform Steel Fabrication and welding duties to a high standard.
- Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality and output.
- Ensure production timings are met.
- To be fully responsible for your own work.
- Follow company rules and adhere to procedures and Health and Safety standards
- Work as part of a team at all times and within customer expectations and quality requirements.
- Carry out and clean all work space on daily basis or as per instruction from Production Supervisors or Senior Management.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Time served (minimum 3 years) welding & fabrication experience and qualifications (Essential).
- Can understand and read from Engineering Drawings including weld plans, fabrication drawings.
- Must have previous coded Mig welding experience to structural fillet and butt weld standard working with Steel thicknesses 3mm up to 50mm and be able to weld in multiple positions such as Flat, Horizontal, Vertical and Overhead.
- As an essential job role requirement, you will have been exposed and passed a welding code such as EN 2871, EN 10901,2,3, EN 17083, or BS EN ISO Other structural coding experience will be considered such as ASME spec or AWS.
- Experience in welding Mild Steel, Aluminium and stainless steel.
- Experienced and able to use Fabrication machinery such as steel Band saws, Drills, King lands, Press brakes, Steel Rollers Grinders etc.
- Ability to work effectively and use own initiative
- Good communicator at all levels
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation and lean process (advantageous but not essential)
- Previous site work with Valid CSCS card. (advantageous but not essential)
Salary:
£14.00-£18.00 per hour
