Position Details:


As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing essential support to students with SEN, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

These full-time, long-term positions offer stability and the opportunity to build strong relationships with both students and the school community.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for SEN children.
  • Assist students with individual learning plans, providing tailored support to meet their specific needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement in the classroom.
  • Provide oneonone support to students during lessons, helping them to access the curriculum and participate effectively.
  • Foster social and emotional development by encouraging interaction and inclusion among students.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support and effective communication.

Requirements:


  • Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Support Staff, preferably within a SEN setting.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with Special Educational Needs and a commitment to their holistic development.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • The ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students and employ differentiated teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience to handle challenging situations and provide consistent support.
