Owens Group are currently looking for a Trainee Traffic Planner to assisting the sub-contractor manager with day-to-day admin.


Shift Pattern:
Monday - Friday

Hours of Work: 08:30 -17:30


Salary:
£24,000 per annum

Holidays: 28 Days including the 8 Statutory Bank Holidays


Location:
Llanelli

  • Within our dynamic traffic office, you will use our TMS (Transport Management System) throughout your working day.
  • Making and receiving calls with various hauliers and subcontractors.
  • You will follow the process of subcontracting work out from the very beginning to uploading proof of deliveries.
  • Learning the planning role from experienced planner.
  • Maintaining subcontractors' insurance and compliance records
The role will also include assisting with the groupage planning daily, this will include:

  • using our TMS (Transport Management System) to group loads together and create manifests for warehouse staff to load.
  • Assisting the groupage scheduler with admin relating to the creating of groupage loads.
  • Working closely with the planning team and addressing any issues that may arise daily.

Additional requirements:

  • The successful applicant will be selfmotivated.
  • The successful applicant will be capable of taking instruction.
  • The successful applicant will be very keen to learn the role and progress.
  • The successful applicant will have good IT skills.
