Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with a banking organisation, based in the heart of the City of London and are looking for an
PQ Management Accountant to join their dynamic team.

Due to continued growth and success, this position has arisen through expansion.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, this role will suit an individual with a minimum of 2 years Management accounts experience.

The successful individual will be career focused, enthusiastic, possess great communication skills and have strong working knowledge of Excel.

This is a permanent position paying between £45,000-£50,000.


Responsibilities

  • Production of timely and accurate management information including performance pack, management accounts and draft shareholder reporting
  • Production of ad hoc MI, supported by the Regulatory & ALM Accountant
  • Drive production or and improvements in reporting to budget holders
  • Owner of General Ledger Whistlebrook module
  • Support the Head of Finance with management reporting strategy and systems development
  • Produce the draft monthly management accounts reporting, with specific focus on accruals and prepayments.
  • Prepare analytical review analysis on the P&L and investigate anomalies.
  • Review the bank reconciliation analysis prepared by the assistant accountant.
  • Assist the Head of Finance with regular shareholder and Board MI reporting.
  • Assist the Head of Finance with forecasting, budgeting and quarterly reforecasts.
  • Provide management with reporting to help drive good business decisions around cost management.
  • Assist the ESG analyst with MI for social impact lending.
  • Develop new systems and reports to plan for / accommodate continuous improvement.
  • Maintain uptodate procedures for relevant tasks, refreshed at least annually in August.
  • Enhance / automate manual processes and suggest ways to improve their efficiency and better manage the risks within finance's responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of yearend lead schedules and financial statements.
  • The role will work alongside the Regulatory & ALM Accountant and Liquidity Analyst to complete key monthly finance reporting.

  • 2 years Management accounts experience
  • Full set of management accounts
  • Lots of enthusiasm
  • A self starter with the ability to show initiative
