37.5 hours per week
SALARY:
Depending on experience up to equivalent AfC Band 8a
JOB SUMMARY:
This is a new role under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) to support increased access to care for patients, by supporting the adoption and/or optimisation of new technology and other initiatives to improve the care offer.
The post holder will enable PCN staff to work more effectively to support the sustainability of general practice services; they will be self-motivated and will have the opportunity to offer leadership skills and guidance to colleagues in the PCN.
(infrastructure, systems and software) support to practice and PCN staff across 3 Harbours
Bosvena PCN, supporting the requirements set out in the NHS Long Term Plan, Five year framework for GP contract reform, PCN DES contract, Impact and Investment Fund and the
Digital, Data and Technology Vision.
The post holder will work independently and will comply with the organisation's policies and procedures.
The role will be key within the PCN to up skill and increase IT competencies across the PCN practices, developing skills within teams to ultimately create in-house IT leads within PCN
Practices with capabilities to progress and implement PCN IT changes and new software internally as part of meeting defined project deadlines.
1MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Improve adoption and/or optimisation of new technology to enhance patient access and experience and increase PCN productivity
- Build relationships and facilitate collaboration between practices and the wider system to support the delivery of care to patients (including shared appointments between practices to aid delivery of enhanced access)
- Lead an improvement approach to change including building capability for quality improvement within the PCN and system wide approaches to problem solving
- Review and improve the PCN's digital maturity
- IT development to support education and training as part of the PCN progression into a
- Use data, and improve data quality, to understand demand, capacity and activity and drive improvements in:
- patient experience of access
- staff experience at work
- Use data to support population health management, support understanding of the type and intensity of support/training needs of the PCN and coordinate this support, including through organisational development programmes
- Facilitate clinically led innovation and the effective adoption of improvement initiatives, including integrated working at neighbourhood and/or place level to improve access to services for patients.
- Work as part of the PCN management team using to provide technical support for the delivery of PCN priority projects and delivery of the DES contract, including the Impact and Investment Fund framework.
- Where it relates to PCN delivery and performance, to:
- create and run custom reports and templates at any 3 Harbours Bosvena PCN practice request
CQRS and QoF based queries
- provide technical support to set up shared clinics e.g., for Enhanced Access
- support staff with IT set up and training on appointment and new GP IT initiatives
- be the ARDENS expert and point of contact, including reporting, templates and training as required
- be the first point of contact for queries relating to technology (infrastructure, systems, and software), providing a timely and efficient response
- assist in effecting ideas and initiatives regarding digital improvements
- Develop and maintain a website for 3 Harbours Bosvena PCN, exploring the potential for people to book directly into certain clinics e.g., Enhanced Access clinics
- Develop a PCN social media strategy in liaison with the Strategic Business Managers and
