    Hatfield, Hertfordshire (AL10)
    Night Shift: 12:00am - 8:00am
    Contract: 10 November February 2026
    £18.50 per hour | £33,300 per annum equivalent

    The Role

    We're hiring an IT Configuration Engineer to join our night shift team in Hatfield on a 3-month contract. You'll be responsible for configuring and preparing IT systems for deployment, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with strict protocols.
    This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with full training provided and the opportunity to work within a secure, high-performing environment.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Configure and install software on IT hardware using detailed build scripts (training provided)
    • Perform manual data entry into spreadsheets (25-50% of the role)
    • Handle IT equipment (boxing/unboxing, pallet movement, consignment preparation)
    • Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery
    • Maintain high standards of accuracy and follow strict configuration procedures
    • Work to defined SLAs and performance targets
    What You'll Need
    • Experience in IT configuration, deployment, or support
    • Strong attention to detail and manual data entry skills
    • Familiarity with Microsoft desktop operating systems
    • Good understanding of IT hardware and components
    • Excellent communication and time management skills
    • Flexibility and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
