    Description

    National Employability Tutor

    We are currently recruiting for a Permanent National Employability Tutor, working on a National Basis.

    Main Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Responsibility for safeguarding candidates whilst on programme
    • Establish and maintain a safe environment for all staff and candidates
    • Deliver training and assessment on a variety of short course qualifications up to Level 2
    • Deliver classroom-based employability courses to the unemployed
    • Interpret knowledge requirements in ways appropriate to candidates at all levels
    • Support learners in achieving their goals through embedment of wider topics, such as safeguarding, Prevent, EDI and British values
    • Embed maths, English and ICT
    • Demonstrate practical applications of vocational programmes
    • Adapt/develop appropriate learning materials
    • Record and provide feedback to learners continually on their programme
    • Complete attendance records and provide information for tracking student progress
    • Share best practice and resources in training, learning and assessment
    • Participate in standardisation meetings
    • Maintain a safe and healthy training/workplace environment
    • Be compliant with administration duties
    • Show flexibility in supporting business needs

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
    • IT literacy
    • Ability to work across all levels and engage with people accordingly

    Requirements:

    • Fully qualified teacher
    • Understanding of Safeguarding and Prevent
    • Ideal experience in delivering L2 Lean Organisation Management, Facilities, Cleaning, Employability and Environmental
    • A1/TAQA/D32/33 Assessor qualification
    • Experience in training or workplace environment
    • Relevant industrial experience (warehouse/manufacturing/cleaning)
    • Flexibility and adaptability to meet role demands
    • Understanding of compliance paperwork and reviews
    • Demonstrate behaviour consistent with educational values
    • Commitment to continuous professional development

    The successful candidate will undergo an enhanced DBS check. This role is classroom-based Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, with occasional travel and overnight stays required.
