A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our dynamic multi-disciplinary team as a Physiotherapy Assistant.

You will be part of our team working with older adults' inpatients with mental health problems.

We are looking for people with excellent communication skills who are also well organised and self-motivated.


You will be working with physiotherapy colleagues within the inpatient wards and under the professional leadership of the lead Band 7 Physiotherapist.


We have one part-time role available:
Victoria Ward, Farnham Road Hospital at Guildford. This is a part time role for 18.45 hours per week. Victoria Ward is a 20 bed mixed ward with predominantly male people in their care.

The post holder is not expected to work weekends or out of hours.


The successful applicant will ideally have experience of working within an older adult mental health setting and the role is suitable for a person who is passionate about providing a high-quality holistic approach to the care and support provided to people admitted into the ward to exercise choice over their own lives.


The role of the Physiotherapy Assistant is to assist in providing Physiotherapy input, following client assessment and treatment planning by a qualified Physiotherapist.

He/she will work under the supervision of a qualified Physiotherapist for clinical issues.
