Description
To provide support with communication to Speech After Stroke scheme (SASS) members either at a group or home setting. Various locations available.
Must be 18y or above to apply.


LocationVolunteers can request to be on inpatient wards in the Cumberland Infirmary, West Cumberland Hospital and Community Hospitals in North & West Cumbria.


This might be the role for you if:

You have the confidence to chat to Speech After Stroke scheme members and their family either in a group setting or on a one to one basis

You enjoy group activities and have the confidence to speak to a group:

You are a good listener and have patience, as sometimes communicating with a scheme member can have its difficulties:

You can be discreet, when required:

- **You have an understanding of patient confidentiality and understand when there is a need to raise concerns to the SASS co-ordinator
